Character Count Step
Overview
This step performs character counts on the different parts of a set of documents.
Takes: Filter events. Sends: Filter events.
The character counts are saved as annotations that can be used in other steps. For example, the Scoping Report Step can generate a report from the character counts.
The character count generated follows the GMX-V 2.0 standard.
Parameters
A character count annotation is always set to each text unit. In addition you can also set annotation for other resources:
Batches — Set this option to get an annotation of the character count per batch.
Batch items — Set this option to get an annotation of the character count per batch item.
Documents — Set this option to get an annotation of the character count per document.
Sub-documents — Set this option to get an annotation of the character count per sub-document.
Groups — Set this option to get an annotation of the character count per group.
