This dialog box allows you to select an input document.

When you select a new input file, the program tries to automatically find a default configuration. It also scans the start of the document to try to guess the encoding, as well as the source and target locales.

Some multilingual documents, such as [[TMX|TMX files]], may have several target locales. In that case, their codes are displayed as a list in the <cite>target locale</cite> field. You must select one among them.

<cite>Input document</cite> — Enter the full path of the input document. You can use the browse button to navigate through the file system.

<cite>Configuration</cite> — Enter the filter configuration id to associate with the input file. Click on the browse button to open the <cite>[[Filter Configurations]]</cite> dialog where you can select a configuration among the ones currently available.

<cite>Encoding</cite> — Enter the name of the encoding to use with this input document. Note that, depending on the file format, this encoding may or may not be used. For example: the encoding of XML documents can normally be auto-detected, so if the input document uses the [[XML Filter]] or the [[XML Stream Filter]] it will likely not use the encoding you defined here.

<cite>Source locale</cite> — Enter the code for the source locale of the input file.

<cite>Target locale</cite> — Enter the code for the target locale of the input file.

<cite>Accept all next documents with their defaults</cite> — If the dialog box is open to process a list of files, you may have this option available. If you check this option all documents after the one currently defined will be accepted automatically, with their auto-discovered parameters. In other words, this option is the equivalent to keep pressing on the <cite>OK</cite> button as long as new input document are presented. Note that the process will stop if an error occurs in the parameters.

Use this option with caution, only on a list of files that can be safely auto-discovered, otherwise you may end up with some documents with incorrect parameters.
