Overview

This step compares the source text of two (or three) documents to try to leverage existing translation for a new source content.

Takes: Filter events. Sends: Filter events.

Input

This step requires two or three inputs:

  • The first one is the new document that needs to be translated.
  • The second one is a bilingual document with the old source and its corresponding old translation.

or

  • The first one is the new document that needs to be translated.
  • The second one is the document with the old source.
  • The third one is the document with the old translation.

When using three documents, the text units between the second and the third must be aligned (same number, same order).

Parameters

Leverage only if the match is equal or above this score — Set the leverage threshold. If the result of the process is equal or above the specified threshold, the old target text is leveraged, otherwise it is ignored.

Include inline codes in the comparison — Set this option to take the inline codes into consideration when computing the quality of the matches.

Limitations

The comparison process of the text units is done in memory: you may not be able to process very large documents.
