==Overview==

The Rainbow translation kit manifest is a special file that is generated when you create one of the translation packages with the [[Rainbow Translation Kit Creation Step]]. The file contains most of the information you need to post-process the package and merge back the translated files into their original formats.

The file is named <code>manifest.rkm</code> and can be processed by the [[Rainbow Translation Kit Filter]].

==Editor==

The manifest is an XML file you can edit manually if necessary.

When processing the manifest file, the [[Rainbow Translation Kit Filter]] has the option of starting by opening the file and let you select what files of the package should be processed.

===Documents===

* <cite>Documents to Pos-Process</cite> column — List of all the documents that are included in the package.
* <cite>Missing?</cite> column — Indicates if a document is currently missing.
* <cite>Output</cite> column — Name of the file that will be generated.

The path at the bottom of the tab is the location where the translated documents are expected to be.

Use the check box to indicate which file should be processed when you click <cite>OK</cite>. Documents that are not checked will not be processed.

===Options===

<cite>Merge the translation only if it is approved</cite> — Set this option to use the translation available only if the item in the translation file has a flag indicating it is approved. If the translation is not flagged as '''approved''' and this option is set, the source text is used instead of the translation.

If the translation file does not support such flag, the translated entry is assumed to be approved.

<cite>Set the 'approved' flag on the merged translations</cite> — Set this option to automatically add or update the '''approved'' flag of the output file. This applies when merging back to documents that have such flag, for example when you merge back a translation to an XLIFF or a PO file.

===Information===

<cite>Project ID</cite> — ID of the project.

<cite>Package ID</cite> — ID of this package.

<cite>Source locale</cite> — Code of the source locale.

<cite>Target locale</cite> — Code of the target locale.

<cite>Creation date</cite> — When the package was created.
